Some fifty years ago,as my mother,aunt and I travelled between Alton and Chicago,my mother inadvertantly left her purse behind ,after we had stopped for a bite to eat at the Pig Hip.Frantic,because she had about $20 in that purse(big money at that time),she called the restaurant (lucky for her that i took a pack of matches advertising the place!).The folks at the Pig Hip were so nice,they reassured mom,and sent her purse (20 bucks and all) back to her by mail.to those nice folks,not forgotten over the years,I would like to say "Thanks"
